Queens, New York - Delores Thornton, CEO of Marguerite Press selected as Keynote Speaker for 2006 Queens Book Fair.

The 2006 Queens Book Fair will be held on August 19, 2006 at the historic Rufus King Park which sits on 11 Acres in the heart of Jamaica, Queens. The Queens Book Fair will begin at 11:00 am and end at 7:00 pm. Self-Published Authors and Published authors will be participation in this years book fair.

In 2005 the Queens Book Fair attracted a host of authors from various genres, and the book fair was featured in Newsday in an article titled “This one is for Self-Published Authors”.

C & B Books and the Queens Book Fair Committee recieved a proclamation declaring the month of Queens Book Month in honor of their outstanding literary contributions to the Borough of Queens. The Queens Book Fair committee has launched a separate web site at www.queensbookfair.com to better accommadate inquiries from both book lovers and authors seeking to to register for the upcoming book fair.

Delores Thornton, a lifelong Indianapolis resident, belongs to several writing organizations including: Marguerite Press (founded in 1996), Marguerite Press Promo (founded in 2003) and Marguerite Press PR (launched 2006).

Upcoming work, “Airing Dirty Linen”, 2006.

Recognized for community service during the 9th Annual Joy Awards in 2005, Thornton is also a volunteer mentor with the Marion County Probation, and the Executive Director of Indianapolis Book Fest, Incorporated. A judge in the Judge Paul Buchanan Literary Awards for 2004, and 2005, Thornton is a regular contributor to Word Life News, Chaotic Dreams, AMPS Magazine, and the Naldar Publishing, and NuShape Publication Newsletters. In her spare time, Thornton likes long drives and visiting her grown children and grandchildren.
